Cycle Ireland Day 7: Kilcrohane to Glengarriff

Today’s highlight was the physical high point of the day, a mere 200 meters (660 feet) straight up from our starting point in Kilcrohane. Not exactly straight up, but it was 200 meters over 2 km, which averages out as pretty darned steep. Tony made it; I had to walk the last bit.

Views at the top were spectacular. Almost the whole way we travelled roads with hardly any traffic. This is good because the roads were quite narrow.

The second highlight was: sun! We enjoyed it, even if it came with an unpleasantly stiff wind. The pastures are greener, the atlantic is bluer, in the sun.
